The “Karlsfelder Siedlerfest” (Karlsfeld’s settler festival) dates back to 1957 and has become a well-known settler and lake festival for people from the area and beyond. This family-friendly festival takes place at Karlsfeld’s beautiful lake (and there is a breath-taking fireworks display each year). It takes place for 10 days in early June.
Another highlight in our administrative district are the fairs with their numerous fun offers and rides for old and young. The local fair is not only known for offering Germany’s cheapest double pint of beer, but also for its annual colorful fire works display above the castle, which has attracted tens of thousands of visitors from the areas of Munich, Freising and Augsburg for several years now.
The world’s largest fair attracts about six million visitors each year. An increasing number of people are coming from other countries to visit this special event – not only our neighbors from Italy, Austria and the Netherlands, but you will also meet people from the US, Japan and Australia.
